Principle of the Wash Plant Concentrator

The Global Mining Solutions wash plant is essentially two continuous mechanical heavy mineral oscillating gold pans. The unique patented oscillating action has the primary function of dilation and separation of the heavy mineral from the gravel bed, and the secondary function of moving the upper successively barren remnants of the original gravel bed to the discharge end of the deck bed is, in itself, the first step in a two stage concentration of the heavy mineral.

Head motion (mechanics) is of the pulley-driven ball bearing eccentric with a distinct patented unique reversing motion, which is applied to both decks. With uniform rotation of the drive pulley the velocity of both decks moving in opposite directions from each other, increases the speed from the beginning of the forward stroke and is compounded to a maximum velocity at the end of the stroke. The action in the wash plant shaking beds differs which are statistically permanent (jigs), and centrifugal bowls, which uses a very rapid moving water action to scour off the tails from a centrifugal action. Contrary to advertisements by manufactures, micron gold will not concentrate in fast flowing water currents as found in centrifugal bowls. Centrifugal bowls have a bad reputation for micron gold losses and packing, and for this reason Global Mining Solutions will not manufacture or sell this type of equipment. Ninety percent of all final clean-up gold production world wide is processed by gravity shaker tables and flotation systems.

Treatment of heavy mineral particles on a Global Mining Solutions wash plant requires the heavy minerals to settle out of the stream of gravel feed at a sufficiently rapid rate to form a heavy mineral concentrate. The deck slope must have a sufficient slope to permit fast removal of water/gravel and a distinct reverse classification, but not so great a slope that valuable heavy minerals will be carried out with the tailings. This allowable slope range of the decks is less the smaller the size of concentrate saved. Adjusting the decks flat will save smaller gold and at the same time it also restricts the total yards of gravel processed. Steep slopes = fine gold losses with increased yardage production. Flat slopes = fine gold saved with reduced yardage production.

Wash Plant Description

Global Mining Solutions provides a wide range of engineered concentrating products for the metallurgical and mineral processing industry. Our state of the art products offer advanced engineering design and reliability that affords our clients a competitive base from which to choose the product that will successfully fill your requirements.

Wash plant concentrating technology was designed as a precious metal recovery applications system and when used as a heavy mineral concentrator the technology can be used in bulk recovery of various platinum group metals, base metals, industrial heavy minerals such as native copper, mercury, tantalite, considerate, chromite, scheelite, etc. The robust design and quality manufacturing ensures that every concentrator will provide exceptional recovery and years of mechanical trouble-free service.

Global Mining Solutions wash-plant concentrator has replaced all previous forms of gravity concentrators and has proven to be the most efficient unit for free gold and heavy mineral recovery in placer gravel and hard rock operations, allowing process gold placers that were once considered uneconomical to mine to be profitable operations.

Global Mining Solutions gold shaker table concentrators and gravel wash plant concentrators are installed in over 2,000 operations worldwide. Our heavy mineral concentrator is the most advanced and widely proven gravity concentration device available to the mining industry. Save 4 inch nugget sized gold down to minus - 500 or smaller particle size without sizing the gravel.

Global Mining Solutions concentrators are fully automated without the use of complicated gauges, dials or electronic equipment. No specialized electronic parts to fail when you are 100 miles from civilization. Six bolts will remove the complete ball bearing drive system. Complete removal only takes five minutes. Any bush layman can operate this equipment with just a few minutes of training. Gravel washing and concentration is open for viewing, which allows operators to physically control all phases of production. Security covers are optional to protect against theft. No bolting or expensive concrete pads are needed for installation, allowing the machine to be moved. Only a small generator is required to run the concentrator.

A wash plant can be mounted on a skid or trailer for mobility and can be easily moved following a gravel channel, field exploration, small to medium scale production.

The wash plant will process oversized rock up to 4 inches or more, which can be an advantage, saving large nuggets and micron sized gold. Top separators for separating heavy metals.

The decks are open for full viewing while washing and concentrating, allowing operator to have complete control of operations. Security covers are optional for theft protection.

Simple to operate, no complicated gauges, valves etc., to break down in the field while located a hundred miles from civilization. Any layman can operate this machine, (minimum amount of moving parts). Our motto is; "KEEP IT SIMPLE".

All wear parts, which are exposed to rock abrasion (except screens) have optional ¼" replaceable rubber liners.

Will process up to 200 yards of 4 inch to 6 inch gravel per hour from your hopper grizzly feeder.

Works perfect for mounting on floating dredges, (receive feed from a 6 inch to 12 inch dredge line when using the optional rigid mounted feed pan.)

Our products are a unique patented wash-plant, capable of washing, screening, classifying and concentrating. Two decks oscillate with a sharp positive motion in opposite directions from each other, neutralizing all out of balance forces. Move one micron sized particles with ease. Extremely quiet and vibration free. Move this machine in and place on the ground and operate. Coarse gravel and rock (4" to 6") feed from a belt feed hopper fitted with a rock grizzly. A steady feed of gravel is discharged from your hopper onto the top rigid mounted sluice pan wash plant at a feed rate of up to 200 yards of gravel per hour, using up to 1400 gpm through a water bar depending on model. The top rigid mounted sluice pan will allow processing bank run gravel up to 4 inch size rock. We recommend maximum oversize rock of 3-4 inch or smaller. Wash plant concentrators are the only machines on the market that will process this high volume of gravel and large rock size while saving MICRON to large nugget sized heavy minerals. This wash plant concentrator eliminates the need for jigs, centrifuges, sluices, carpet clean-up, vibrating screens and trommels. NO MORE CARPET CLEAN-UP.

Required support equipment will include means for loading gravel, one belt feed hopper with a top mounted grizzly, generator for electricity, water and sand pumps and a stacking conveyor if water is recycled. A launder tray, sluice or water ditch will eliminate sand pump and stacking conveyor. Suction dredges will pump directly onto the top rigid mounted sluice. Move this machine with a small pick-up or jeep.

A large hopper feeder with a rock grizzly and belt feed is the recommended feed system for this high volume wash plant concentrator. A vibrating grizzly should be used over the hopper feeder and will use about a 1-2 hp motor or more.
